Sociological Methodology, an American Sociological Association journal
under the editorship of Tim F. Liao, seeks contributions to all areas of
cutting-edge methodology in sociology and the broader social sciences.
Sociological Methodology is published as an annual volume, containing papers
in chapter form. Normally, the content of Sociological Methodology is
driven by author-initiated submission without pre-specified themes. Editorial decisions over manuscripts are
based on the advice of peer referees. Criteria for assessment include
originality, breadth of interest and applicability, and expository clarity.
Discussions of implications for research application are vital, and authors
are urged to use empirical examples of the methods they discuss. Please send us your submissions
electronically to: See How to Submit
page for further details.
